So, what the fuck happened to the comic?

The short story is this: the desktop I use to put together Strange Fiction died a squealing, electric death a few weeks ago during a brown out. (Did you know hard drives can scream? Trust me when I tell you that they do.)

So what the fuck happened to the site?

The short story is this: after the hard drive died, I found myself unable to log on to SF’s former hosting site. No problem, I told myself, after all they hosted it for free, and I backed up almost everything on CD, after all.  Let me reiterate that last part: on CD.  The laptop, the only working computer in the house, the one with the hard drive that is eventually going to melt because it’s SMART bios are fucked–the laptop doesn’t have a working CD drive.

D’oh!

I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to get the archives back. I also don’t know how I’m going to manage to start posting comics again, as getting the scanner to cooperate is a dodgy thing, and I don’t know how long the laptop will keep running for us.

Keep an eye on the Facebook page and my Twitter account for updates.

Rest assured, Strange Fiction WILL be back.
